Join us on February 28, 2015 for Break it Down, Make it Better., a conversation for artists, curators, and venue coordinators. From gallery walls to sidewalks, performances to paintings, curators shape the viewer’s experience by building relationships between artwork, space and audience. This event will deconstruct a variety of curatorial practices in traditional and nontraditional settings. Our regionally selected panelists will share methods from both institutional and grassroots perspectives. This conversational series is great for curators, artists, and documenters, whether just beginning or well-seasoned in the arts. This event will also include break-out Round-table discussions discussing various relevant topics- a full list for which can be found here.
Online registration opens February 1st. This event is free to members of Avenue for the Arts and the UICA, and to Artprize Venue representatives; the non-member fee is $35. Space is limited and it is highly recommended that attendees register in advance.
More information can be found at Avenue for the Arts.
