Development Internship

This position is responsible for providing support to UICA's corporate, ondividual, and foundation relations, especially in the areas of sponsorship activation and donor recognition and stewardship. Interns coordinate and implement updates to recognition activities; coordinate donor outreach activities, invitations, and replies; coordinate sponsor recognition and hospitality for the major fundraising gala in the fall and fundraising event in the spring.


  • Working towards completing a BA, BFA, MA, or MFA in liberal arts, communications, marketing, journalism, non-profit administration, business, or similar field.

  • Junior in good standing with a minimum GPA of 2.8.

  • Ability to work with staff, volunteers and the public in a professional manner on a variety of tasks.

  • Basic filing, typing, and computer skills.

  • Ability to ask for help and accept supervision and evaluation of your work.

  • Abide by the Standards for Museum Volunteers/Interns as outlined in the Volunteer/Intern Packet.

  • Familiarity with Basecamp management and communication software preferred.

  • Strong writing skills required.
