Browse the works on view as part of Coming Home, then head to The Studio anytime between 6:00 - 9:00 pm to learn how to create a landscape painting inspired by Pat Perry’s paintings. Using acrylic paint, reference photos, and the materials provided, you’ll leave with your own Michigan-inspired work of art.
Studio activities are led by one of our rotating hosts, are family friendly, and are designed for all ages.

Perry is an artist from Michigan who writes and makes pictures through careful and cautious observation. Perry works primarily as a painter and muralist, and also as an illustrator. Perry has created public murals worldwide which can be found in New Zealand, Iraq, Finland, Zurich, Cleveland, New York, Canada, Berlin, Washington D.C. and Detroit.
In his first-ever gallery exhibition, Perry, a globally recognized artist whose clients include The New York Times, BBC, VICE Magazine, Sony//Epic Records, and Bonnaroo presents National Lilypond Songs, a new series of large-scale paintings that document rural Michigan homes and landscapes.
